Alpenflage checks the pulse of the Swiss underground and reports back. This month with a special feature from Electrosanne Festival 2014.

Alpenflage set up shop at Electrosanne Festival in the beautiful city of Lausanne, and for the whole weekend we had artists passing through our pop-up studio. Some had time for an interview, others just briefly popped by to drop off a track. And of course we’ve also recorded a bunch of live sets from Switzerland’s cream of the crop. This is part one of our Electrosanne recap, and in this episode we have an excerpt from the set of Zurich-based producer, DJ and Nice Try Records label headWarsaw Disco as well as highlights from the set of Nicolas Duvoisin, recent Lausanne transplant, La Ruche resident and head of Fantastic Friends Records. Lausanne beatmaker Sebb Bash who blessed the festival’s RBMA stage with one of his rare sets, dropped off a new joint for your listening pleasure, so did Swiss house mainstay Mirko Loko who gave us a track from his forthcoming Cadenza Records album due in 2015. Furthermore we’ve tested Optimo’s knowledge of Swiss music: the Glaswegian selectors JD Twitch and JG Wilkes took the challenge of our Swiss music “blind test”, and – as expected – where quite ready for the task.
